This winter, Open Learning and Educational Support (OpenEd) is teaming up with Lighthouse Labs to launch the fully online Web Development Bootcamp. The full-time program is designed to equip students with a strong foundation of skills to become full-stack software developers.
Over 12 weeks, students will learn the essentials needed to get started in a web development career, including coding languages, algorithm design, and data structures. With no prerequisite for the program and no prior coding experience necessary, Web Development Bootcamp is suited for anyone looking to reskill and change careers.
“We’re excited to be working alongside Lighthouse Labs to provide students with such a unique career development opportunity,” says Jennifer Grochocinski, Manager, Business Development and Continuing Education. “As the data industry continues to grow and more careers become available, we want to ensure people have access to relevant programming that aligns with the demands of today’s job market and beyond.”
Among the job-seeking Web Development Bootcamp alumni, 97% of graduates have obtained employment, with 87% doing so within the first 180 days of graduation. Graduates have found careers at reputable companies such as Amazon, Telus, LoyaltyOne, and even Lighthouse Labs.
Web Development Bootcamp begins Monday, April 4, 2022.
