This summer, OpenEd is launching the Certificate in Accounting, a brand-new online program designed for those looking to gain accounting skills, increase financial literacy, or enhance existing knowledge.

The program consists of five courses—four required courses and one elective—providing participants with the opportunity to develop skills in financial accounting, management accounting, financial management, taxation, and auditing.

“Accounting continues to be an in-demand career option,” says Michelle Fach, executive director, OpenEd. “Our fully online Certificate in Accounting will provide individuals with the opportunity to upskill and reskill, remain relevant in the labour market, or build their skills to seek new career opportunities.”

Each of the required courses will include a variety of applied assignments and course-integrated activities to prepare students for the in-demand job market. Students will develop their skills in inter-disciplinary contexts, which provides additional career options and pathways within the industry.

In addition to the new Certificate in Accounting, OpenEd offers a variety of other online degree-credit certificate programs with no application process. Visit the Degree-Credit Certificates page for more information on these professional development opportunities.
