Campus Video Storage Options

Microsoft Stream

Microsoft stream is an enterprise video streaming service where university users can upload, view, and share videos securely. You can share recordings of classes, meetings, presentations, training sessions, or other videos. Microsoft Stream also makes it easy to share comments on a video, tag timecodes in comments and descriptions to refer to specific points in a video, and have discussions with your classes.

Microsoft OneDrive

Microsoft OneDrive is a file hosting and synchronization service operated by Microsoft which is available to campus users through Office 365. OneDrive allows users to store and share files across multiple platforms and operating systems. OneDrive is integrated on campus which means you can restrict access to files and folders using the central directory.

Library

The University of Guelph library does offer video hosting through McIntyre Media.

Please contact the library directly for further information.

YouTube

If you are looking to generate public content, there are many free video streaming alternatives available (Vimeo, Facebook, Dailymotion, etc.), with YouTube being the most popular. YouTube is a free online video sharing platform owned by Google. It allows users to upload, view, rate, share, add videos to playlists, comment on videos and subscribe to channels.
