The University of Guelph is host to a number of conferences on campus each year. At OpenEd, we provide opportunities for professional development, networking and community engagement through the design and development of conferences that reflect the institution's various areas of expertise.
Providing information, communication and technology in accessible formats is an important part of the University's commitment to equity. Directed towards attendees from the public and private sectors-- including educators, IT managers and providers, web managers and content providers, course designers, and individuals who create and disseminate information--the conference raises awareness of information and communication accessibility issues and will provide practical tools and strategies to incorporate accessibility into the real-world environment.
