There has never been a more important time to create educational pathways and learning opportunities to address the needs of diverse learners. By working together, we can remove financial barriers in order to improve access to education and the teaching and research expertise of the University of Guelph. The OpenEd bursary program is an important contribution towards reaching this goal.

Apply Online

Log in to the OpenEd Student Portal, ensure that your profile is up to date, and then apply using the Bursary Application via the My Applications tab on the left side of the screen.

PLEASE NOTE:

Bursary applications for Fall 2024 and Winter 2025 courses are no longer being accepted.

Applications for Summer 2025 and Fall 2025 bursaries will open on October 1, 2024; applications are due on January 30, 2025.

If you are awarded a bursary, it will cover tuition costs for one course and the amount varies by course. Applicants can be awarded an OpenEd bursary (either Virginia L. Gray Memorial Bursary or Open Learning Bursary) only once throughout their studies.
