Accessing Your Conference Events

Pre-Conference – Assistive Technology & Alt Format Roundtable

If you’ve registered for the pre-conference discussion forum, the Zoom Join link has been emailed to you from Open Learning and Educational Support (info@opened.uoguelph.ca).

Conference – Wednesday May 29 and Thursday May 30, 2024

Your conference link has been emailed to you from Zoom Events. The link will take you to the Lobby which is the starting point of your conference experience.

At the top of the Lobby page there are a series of wayfinding tabs:

  • Sessions allows you to view and bookmark sessions.
  • Itinerary displays your bookmarked conference itinerary and allows it to be exported as an ICS File to your personal calendar.
  • Exhibitor accesses sponsor/exhibitor information.
  • Speakers provides access to speakers, their bios, and the session(s) that they’re presenting.
  • People allows you to chat and/or connect with other conference attendees (if you created a profile). The Chat function allows you to chat within the conference platform. Connect sends an email requesting to connect outside of the conference.
  • Lobby Chat allows you to share.

Conference Workshops – Friday May 31, 2024

If you registered for a post-conference workshop, your Zoom link will be sent on Thursday afternoon from Open Learning and Educational Support (info@opened.uoguelph.ca).


Tips

We encourage you to create a profile within Zoom Events, as this will allow you to network with other attendees throughout the conference.
